Girlguiding Leicestershire are very lucky to have 4 of their very own residential facilities on offer. Whether you’re looking to have a camp in the countryside or a sleepover in the city centre, we’ve got the accommodation for you. Read below to find out more about One Ash, Hayfields, Topstones and County Office. When seeking out your lodgings, please be aware that in most cases bookings for Topstones (Leicestershire's County campsite) are taken up to a year in advance, and that popular weekends can be booked up very quickly. For more information on any of the facilities and costs, or for bookings please contact County Office, either directly or via our Contact page

One Ash is the Hinckley Division Holiday Lodge. The carpeted main hall sleeps 18 girls on camp beds with space for 2 young leaders. In addition there are 2 leader rooms for up to 4 leaders with a separate shower room. Inside the lodge you will find a variety of games and activities to keep the girls busy including board games and sports equipment, outside you will find a small campfire circle.   If you stay in the winter months, you will be glad to know the lodge is double glazed with energy efficient heaters. The kitchen is also very well equipped for whatever you decide to rustle up.

One Ash is also available to book for 1 day events or evening activities including cook outs (but you must bring your own wood).

Hayfields is Market Harborough and Bowdens Guide Headquarters, which is also available for Residentials all year round, with bookings taken up to 12 months in advance. The main hall can sleep a maximum of 22 Guides, or 16 Brownies/Guides can sleep in Helen’s room. There is also a small meeting room which can sleep up to 4 adults, and a large well equipped kitchen. While there, why not take advantage of the Market Harborough Leisure Centre next door, and take your girls for a swim?

Topstones is our fantastic County Campsite and Holiday Chalet. Set in a 14- acre field with sweeping views of the surrounding countryside, there are 6 campsites and a fully equipped Chalet for indoor self-catering holidays.

If you choose to camp, you will be glad to know there are 2 large wet weather shelters, one with electricity, and most of the campsites are equipped with altar fires. There are modern toilet blocks catering for both males and females and four unisex showers.

There is a shed, housing fridges and freezers for the use of campers and there is plenty of camp equipment available for hire.

The chalet is heated throughout, and the kitchen is very well equipped with the usual appliances, fridge freezer, a catering size gas cooker and hot cupboards to help you feed the hungry masses.

Or you could choose to stay in the chalet, where the main room is equipped with 24 camp beds for sleeping. There is also a Leaders’ room with two sets of bunk beds. The main room also has a wood burning stove.

Heading outside the list is endless; there is a Centenary scramble obstacle course, a fitness trail, grass sledges and mountain boards, mountain bikes which can be used on the custom made trail, go karts, giant chess and draughts, boules, volleyball, pond dipping, a pizza oven, backwoods cooking area, netball, football, kwik cricket, rounders, short tennis, mini hockey, skipping ropes, space hoppers, skates, orienteering, and Geo-cashing, an area with seating suitable for drama, puppet shows or music. As if that wasn’t enough, archery and an instructor are available by request, and for Guides, there is even a Go For It Topstones.

And while you’re there, why not make use of our fabulous activity barn, which can be used for everything from indoor games to movie nights using the plasma screen and DVD player, and a fantastic new bouldering wall for all to try.

For something different, how about a sleepover at County Office? Ideally situated in the city centre for trips to the theatre or cinema, or just stay in and make your own fun! There are two choices for accommodation. The Sycamore Room on the top floor is fully equipped, including toilets and a small kitchen. It can be used by all sections for up to 12 girls and 4 leaders. Willow, the training room on the ground floor may be used by Guides and Senior Section for up to 15 girls with their leaders. Campbeds are provided for sleeping on.
