“The Swan Tamers” as they affectionately called each other were our latest group of young women to complete their Gold DofE expedition. It wasn’t for the faint hearted as they battled the incredible temperatures and gained almost webbed feet from canoeing. The group started from Alrewas, near Lichfield and made their way down the canals to the National Water Sports Centre at Holme Pierrepont a distance of 75km.
An incredible achievement by all the participants and their supervisors, assessors and supporters. Well done all!
