Over 200 Brownies joined us for a jungle themed camp at the beginning of August for 4 fun-filled days. Split into 2 subcamps, the Zebras and the Tigers, girls aged 7-10 years, spent time enjoying the out-of-doors. Throughout the camp, Brownies were given the opportunities to meet new friends, try new things and have a laugh. The camp was arranged into themed days to help structure the activities. Saturday was arrival day and the Brownies were set a camp challenge – how many activities could they complete in the afternoon? Sunday was our adventurous day where Brownies had the chance to get their pulses racing…. climbing spider mountain, going grass-sledging, mastering the ‘greasy’ pole, navigating the cave bus, the choices go on! Monday we went creative – trying new looks in the photo booth, painting some very large art pieces, creating snakes from ties and much more. Tuesday was our last day and we made the most of it by bouncing our way across a number of different inflatable slides, obstacle courses and of course jumping in a castle.
Aided by a dedicated service crew of Flamingos, 14-18 year old young women, and the Crocodiles, our adult volunteers, the Brownies had an amazing time in the sunshine exploring and having fun.
