Thurmaston Guide and Scout Gang Show

The tradition of the Gang Show is still going strong in Thurmaston. For the last 51 years the Guides and Scouts of Thurmaston have come together to put on a show. Joined by the Thurmaston Scout and Guide marching brass band along with leaders from both associations, everyone comes together to play a part in the show. It takes A LOT of preparation, from the leaders who became costume designers and choreographers, to the young members who put their heart and soul into their songs, dances and sketches. The Gang Show runs over four shows and everyone puts in their all, usually performing to sell out audiences. This year was no different, with Rainbows going on a bear hunt, Brownies singing about togetherness, Guides dancing to Singing in the rain with music from Men in Black and Barbie and finally the Rangers performing a very funny 12 days of camping sketch. Not to be outdone, the leaders came together to sing a Mamma Mia medley which ended the show perfectly.
