Aquabox Challenge

A HUGE THANK YOU TO GIRLGUIDING LEICESTERSHIRE

At the Leicestershire County Training day in March 2023,  we launched the Aquabox Challenge and Badge. Your support has been, and still is outstanding, in working together to save lives.

In just two years Aquabox Challenge has spread to Guides and Scouts not only in the UK but slowly around the world.

We have visited over 200 hundred local groups, camps and other events and we estimate we have spoken to personally, over 14,000 people. The interest shown has been fantastic.

Girlguiding Leicestershire has helped us raise along with Rotary, Scouts, Churches and other groups an incredible £11,870.35  so far,  by   Working Together To Save Lives.  So a huge thank you, as none of these donations would have been possible, without Girlguiding Leicestershire’s initial support.

In January 2025 we launched two additional Aquabox Challenges

AQUABOX AQUABLUE              AQUABOX AQUASILVER            AQUABOX AQUAGOLD

Discover Leicestershire Challenge

This challenge has been created by the county commissioner team to celebrate everything Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland has to offer. This challenge can be completed in person and online, through culture and sport, history and food and in our outdoor spaces.

The challenge provides activities for Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Rangers and adult members to complete over 12 months alongside the programme – summer 2024 to summer 2025.

We encourage leaders to share the challenge with the girls for them to choose the activities they want to complete with their friends. Units are free to be flexible with the challenge and identify different activities on the themes to complete the challenge.

We would like you to share photos of your unit taking part in the challenge on our dedicated challenge Facebook page, Girlguiding Leicestershire – The Challenge so that we are able to celebrate our wonderful county together.

As this is a public page, please ensure all permissions are sought before posting pictures.

Badges are available to buy for completing the challenge, please use the register button for the order form.
